The Holmes County Economic Development Council (HCEDC) Strategic Plan focuses on how Holmes County and its communities can increase their readiness for well-planned and balanced business and industry growth and raise the level of prosperity of residents by retaining, expanding and attracting new, high quality businesses and jobs.

For practical reasons, the HCEDC strategic plan focuses in greatest detail on retaining, stimulating, and guiding growth and development in the county over the next 2-3 years. Given the high level of change and uncertainty in American society and the world today, it is impossible to formulate accurate longer-term predictions and plans. The national trend in local economic development planning is to create strategic plans under three years in length.
