Small Business Resources

It’s undeniable small business drives the U.S. economy. According to a 2007 Small Business Administration (SBA) Report,

  • Small firms represent 99.9 percent of the 27.2 million U.S. businesses
  • Small businesses employ about half of U.S. workforce
  • Small firms account for more than half of the nonfarm private gross domestic product (GDP).

With a business community technically made almost entirely of small firms, Holmes County is witness to the big impact of small enterprises. Today County Government in partnership with the Holmes County Economic Development Council and the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce strives to maintain a positive business environment for its existing and aspiring entrepreneurs.

There are numerous federal, state, and private resources available to assist the small business community.
