Holmes County is recognized as a producer of quality handcrafted goods. A vibrant timber industry coupled with and an assemblage of skilled craftsmen and artisans has resulted in the establishment of more than 400 manufacturers of finished wood products. From custom cabinetry to fine home furnishings to ornate collectables, Holmes County is a wood worker mecca. The mission of the Hardwood Furniture Builders' Guild is to promote and market dometically manufactured home furnishings of unparalleled value and quality, while providing customers with superior service and integrity.



Amish Country Furniture Association
With more than 30 stores within a 30-minute drive Holmes County, tagged "The Furniture Heartland", is the nation's largest concentration of solid wood manufacturers and retailers. The Amish County Furniture Association represents the retail segment of the local furniture industry.  Primary focused on marketing Holmes County as a furniture seekers destination, the organization assists local furniture merchants to advertise product locally, nationally and internationally.

Holmes County Lodging Council
Annually Holmes County competes for the top tourism destination in Ohio. Recent estimates indicate some four (4) million visitors enter the county yearly to experience Amish Country and  other cultural and environmental attractions. The lodging industry providing hospitality to guests largely consists of a collection of small inns and bed and breakfasts. The mission of the Lodging Council is perpetuate the well-being of the lodging industry in the Holmes County Region and to advance operational effectiveness among its members.
